Hi! Whether you’re new to Yoga and/or Fitness or just new to me, I’m glad you’re here! I love to meet and welcome new students to our online community.
I am a Yoga Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Fitness Coach based in the Boston area. My goal is to support you in being the best you that you can be! I seek to inspire and empower others to take charge of their own fitness and learn to rely on their inner wisdom and intuition: in their workouts, and in their lives off the mat.
I would describe my teaching style as “compassionate encouragement”. I will challenge you and encourage you to come out of your comfort zone, but I will also support you in honoring your body by modifying or resting as your wisdom dictates. I believe that if we love our bodies they will love us back. I offer modifications and advancements throughout all of my classes, so each participant can work at their own level.
Up until March, I taught 14 different classes a week at four different health clubs. It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that I realized how exhausting this schedule was, and I took the leap to become my own boss and open my own studio - as it turned out, an online one.
Please join me in class! Together, we can achieve great things!
Help! I'm completely new & confused!
Don’t worry. We all have to start somewhere.
If you don’t know which class to sign up for, you have several options!
Send me an email, and we can start a dialog about the best class for you to try: firstname.lastname@example.org
Consider one on one Fitness Coaching until you feel comfortable joining a group class.
Yoga with Weights, Pilates/Sculpt, and Chair Yoga (when it’s offered) are all good places to start. The Yoga with Weights and Pilates/Sculpt classes use a pair of light (1-5 lb.) dumbbells, BUT you can always do these classes without the weights, which makes them very accessible to beginners. Yoga is a mind/body practice with a 5,000-year history in ancient Indian philosophy. While there are many different styles of yoga, they all combine physical movement (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation and relaxation (savasana), designed to balance the body, breath, mind and spirit. My classes are flow-based (vinyasa), meaning the poses are linked together in a series of fluid movements, with, however, detailed attention to safe and effective alignment. I teach a fairly vigorous class (definitely not what would be considered a “gentle” style), though I always offer modifications and advancements throughout, so that newer practitioners and advancing yogis can get each work to their own potential in the same class. For further information on the many benefits of yoga, click here.
A beautifully balanced flow (vinyasa) class incorporating all aspects of practice: pranayama (breathwork), meditation, seated, standing, back bending & balancing postures, and a full savasana. Attention will be given to proper alignment for a safe and sustainable practice, and modifications and advancements will be offered. Geared toward yogis of all levels.
Yoga with Weights & Nidra
A slower-paced body conditioning yoga class with limited flow. The slower pace and detailed alignment cues makes this class perfect for beginners (who can also do it without weights!) while allowing advanced practitioners to deepen their practice through the resistance and toning of adding weights (a pair of 1-5 lbs dumb bells are needed). The class will end with the deeply rejuvenating & transformative guided savasana of Yoga Nidra.
Perfect for beginners, those experiencing chronic or acute mobility issues, and practitioners gaining confidence with balance. The chair replaces the mat as we use the chair for centering, seated postures, core work and savasana. Standing, balance and flow portions of the class are modified as needed and each participant can engage with the chair as needed to support their body and practice.
Power Yoga (starting in late Fall)
Power Yoga is a faster-paced version of Vinyasa Yoga that assumes a working knowledge of poses, sun salutations and proper alignment. More opportunities will be offered for advancement, arm balances, and exploring on your own. While the pace of this class makes it unsuitable for absolute beginners, newer yogis are welcome to join if they are willing and able to modify the practice as appropriate.
Pilates is a method of exercise consisting of low-impact flexibility, muscular strength and endurance movements that emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. It is named for its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed the exercises in the 1920s. My popular Pilates/Sculpt class is a pilates-inspired workout that weaves traditional Pilates mat and standing exercises with innovative core work and muscle sculpting movements. This 60 minute class incorporates classic Pilates exercises, innovative core work, and both traditional (think squats/lunges/curls) and creative sculpting moves. The first half of the class is on the mat, followed by 30 minutes of standing work. You will leave class feeling strong, long, energized, yet calm. 1-5 lbs. dumb bells are needed.
Meditation is the art and practice of learning to calm the mind so we can listen to our inner wisdom and intuition. It is simple in concept, but mastery takes patience and practice. All of my yoga classes begin with a short, guided meditation to center us for our practice. If you would like to learn more about meditation, including how to establish your own home practice, check out the upcoming Meditation Fundamentals Course below.
In this 4-week, 6hr. Live Online Course we will explore various meditation techniques, with a focus on helping you establish your own home practice. Instruction will be given on ways to follow the breath, cultivate awareness, and make use of mantra and manifesting (working with the Universe to bring more of what you desire into your life). The course will provide a wide variety of guided meditations, time for silent personal practice, journaling and small and large group discussions. We will also cover practical details such as how to create a practice space, ways to build and commit to a personal practice, use of a timer, and how to find your own unique meditating style.

Fitness Coaching is a highly individualized holistic training program designed for those who feel stuck in reaching their fitness goals, but are ready and willing to make a change.
If you are tired of making excuses for why your fitness routine isn’t working, let’s explore how I can help you get unstuck!
A fit and balanced mind and body go hand in hand: the most beautifully designed workout means nothing if you are not ready to commit to yourself and to actually doing the workout. Together, we will examine the habits and self-sabotaging beliefs that are holding you back from success, and explore where you may be out of balance in your movement (flexibility, strength, cardio, enjoyment) and self care (diet, sleep, hydration, relaxation time). The coaching will help you identify the types of movements your body enjoys, and offer all the individual instruction, guidance and support you need to create a personal fitness routine that will inspire you, keep you moving, and bring flow and balance to your life.
